The Battle is in your mind.

Have you noticed the power of your thoughts? Or how your negative or positive thoughts can affect you? Do you see how a simple thought can create feelings and actions that eventually bring about consequences that can either be good or bad. All depending on that initial thought that we allowed our minds to have.

The daily battles that we encounter all begin in our minds. Have you noticed that most of our thoughts tend to be negative? And unfortunately we don’t do much to stop them. 🙁 Our negative thoughts control our emotions. Even if they’re not true, we practically create movies in our minds of things that haven’t even happened! ??‍♀️ Why do we allow our minds and our negative thoughts to control us so much? How can we gain strength to begin to practice control in our minds and actually become a little more positive, encouraging, loving, peaceful and kind to ourselves?

In the Bible there’s a scripture that says: ”For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds” (2 Corinthians 10:3) & there’s one more scripture which says; “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12)

We have to be on guard each day to protect ourselves. The Enemy fights every single day to take power and control of our mind!! He is not after our money, our looks our power or our possessions…Please know that all he wants to do is to distract each one of us with all that he possibly can to draw us further and further away from God! 🙁 His goal is to go after our MINDS & Our souls. He wants to weaken us! He wants us to be fearful, insecure, depressed, frustrated and anxious. He wants us to compare ourselves to others to be angry, unhappy and miserable like he is. He fights daily for our mind, our power and our time. If he can distract us from anything that will bring us closer to God or to discovering the power that we have as Children of God, Then that’s what he considers a win…his way is easy. Don’t fall for his trap. The battle is in our minds and we need to be courageous to fight to keep the good within us and reject his sneaky tactics.

So, How prepared are we to handle the stealthy ways in which he attacks our minds, our emotions and our bodies? First and most importantly, we have to remember who we are! We are first Spiritual brings having a mortal experience. Our time on this earth is actually very short if you think about it. We were sent by our Father to this earth to learn, to grow, to experience the freedom to choose good vs evil. He wants us to learn the difference between sickness vs health, happy vs sad, to learn to be empathetic, loving, kind toward others…all of these experiences are for us to grow each day. To eventually become more “God like” which is our true nature. We’re here to discover that in ourselves and to learn to grow & mature slowly and patiently in it. But before learning all of these things that we’re meant to experience on this earth ? We have to remember that we are # 1 Children of God!!! Our souls come form His prescience. We are Loved by our Heavenly Father and as His children we have His DNA! His spiritual strength to remind us that WE CAN OVERCOME ANYTHING WITH HIS HELP!!! ❤️ It is through Him that we can receive strength and power to be able to fight the enemy that tries to attack our minds & souls. ??

The second thing we must do if we want to win these battles is to fight to strengthen ourselves spiritually each day! No one else can do this for us. It may seem boring or “time consuming” but as we use our time to try to connect to God, He will present himself in our lives way more clearly and we will begin to feel so different each day that we try to do our best. Even all you can do is listen to a faith building messages or praying to ask for help, that is a perfect way to build more strength within yourself to take on each day. it is only up to us to build that inner spiritual power little by little within ourselves one day at a time. & Just as our bodies need nourishment and strength, our minds need it even more!???

Another important thing to remember is that we need to read the words of God and actually fill our minds with His powerful promises. Memorizing His words will allow us to use those words with power in the appropriate moments when we may feel sad, weak or defeated. We can remind the enemy in those moments that we are children of God! That His words are true and powerful and that as His children and with His strength and power we can be healed physically, emotionally and spiritually from anything that may be trying to hold us down or come against us. It is our God who can break all of those bonds and free us from fear, pain and anxiety that tries to weaken us and attack us. It is our God who is a good God and who has promised: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. ❤️ (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

When our challenges may seem too difficult, this is when we need to search for God the most! We can’t let our guard down and be defeated 🙁 when we experience difficult situations we may feel consumed, in the dark and depressed with the world around us. When we encounter physical challenges we may feel that not even our bodies can hold us up. But, this is the time when we fully have to give it to God and trust in His wisdom and power to help us overcome it all. This is the time when we FILL our spirit with His light and love to help us through. As we strengthen our spirit, it will help us make it through the challenges. If our spirit is strong, then it will carry us through the physical, emotional, and spiritual difficulties that we experience. If we can keep our spirit strong everything else will be ok. ❤️ Our connection to God will become stronger and our spirit will feel it and it will help us each day to do the best we can one day at a time. You are not alone, God Loves you more than you know and He truly cares for you. Stay strong and watch the miracles unfold in your life as you learn to fight your battle with His help. He has said: “Know ye not that ye are in the hands of God? Know ye not that he hath all power?..” Mormon 5:23 Think about what He can do for you!!! ❤️

His power will be with us through everything we go through as long as we’re willing to fight with courage in this battle that attacks our minds and souls. All will be possible to Him that believes. So, believe In God, believe that He is and that He has all power to help you! Have Faith in Him, trust Him and protect yourself by putting on the whole armor of God each day (Ephesians 6:11-18) Which says: Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

As we begin to be watchful and willing to protect ourselves from evil, fear or negativity that tries to enter our minds. We will be better able to understand that the battle is against our minds and souls. That we are in charge of protecting ourselves by remembering that we are children of God, that we have access to His love, peace and power. That we can have the words of God ready to be used when needed and that we can strengthen ourselves with the armor of God to overcome and endure to the end! We can keep our spirit strong during the challenges and difficulties. We can ASK for help as the children of God that we are. & He will provide us with what we need 🙂 ? to be able to overcome anything that we may be facing or that we may encounter. God will provide as long WE BELIEVE HIM AND ARE WILLING TO RECEIVE IT! ?

“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)

God has promised to be with you until the end. Stay close to Him through it all and use His words to strengthen you and feel His renewing power and peace In Your life daily. He fights the battles for you as you include him in your life. With Him by your side, you cannot fail. Feel His love and be renewed by His power in knowing that you can make it through it all. He’s got you in His hands. ❤️

Judge not.

Have you noticed how quick and easy it has become for us to judge one another? Having our lives on social media and more accesible to the public makes these “judgements” worst than ever before.

The more that we judge others the more that this “disease” will continue to spread around us. We start to think that it’s ok to judge, criticize and compare others. We feel ok expressing our opinions about everything and everyone around us and we expect no consequences in return. The sad thing is, that we never feel good when we judge others. Yet, somehow we find a way to turn off that little voice inside of us that tells us it’s not ok and we continue doing it. 🙁 We also feel embarrassed to stop others around us from judging and we have a hard tome getting away from people who are constantly judging others as well. We have to be clear with ourselves and try our best to avoid being critical and judgmental of others.

The goal for this message is to help us to see ourselves in a clear and honestly way. So that we may know what we need to work on and how to change the judgments that we have placed on others. We want to be able to recognize our faults, to let go of our pride and to have the homily to change and take control of our thoughts, words and actions. When we can control ourselves we gain inner strength. We start to master ourselves from the inside out and we become better able to control how we react to every person and situation that crosses our path. Allowing our minds to replace judgment and criticism with Love, kindness and light toward others.

Mother Theresa said; “If you judge people you have no time to love them.” We can choose to STOP the criticism habits that we have, to take off our binoculars that try to see the faults, differences and the judgments in others and instead focus that energy on cleaning our lenses, on looking at our lives and trying to be the best version of ourselves that we can be. Living each day without those things that hold us back and instead focusing on what God needs us to do during our time on this earth.

He has given us a commandment or a promise which says; “Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.” Mathew 7: 1-2 He tell us very clearly that we will be Judged according to how we judge. God is not a God that lies. He will give to us according to how we give to others. We need to keep our hearts, minds and actions clean and pure directing our vision and our energy toward God.

He then tells us; “And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.” Mathew 7:3-5 When we can see our faults and mistakes and we can change them first, we will be better able to help others. Not in an arrogant or prideful way, but instead knowing that we are nothing without God’s help and strength and that God is the one and only judge who will judge fairly.

So, let’s let go of the judgments that we placed on others and instead focus on how we can better ourselves to be a stronger source of light in the world. That we may give love and kindness to everyone around us! No matter what. God will see what is in our hearts, He will know that we are trying, He will help us to overcome anything that we need to let go off! & He will help us to be the child of God that HE CREATED US TO BE! ❤️

Our spiritual goal for the week is to not criticize or judge others. Instead replace those thoughts with something positive about the person or send love or a positive thought toward that person or anyone else who may need it.

Our physical goal for the week is to not have sugar. ? I know that’s hard to hear, but it’s becoming a bigger addiction than we think. Try to slow down on the sugar and if possible remove it from your diet ??‍♀️ Drink lots of water and take a little time to exercise and do something good for yourself. You are strong! & you can do all things through God who strengthens you!!!! ❤️??

Hope to see you in class tomorrow morning for a wonderful workout, toning and meditation ??‍♀️ Hope that you can make it and feel the benefit of doing this for yourself! ????Love,

Lili ?
