My Inner Oasis

Often times our thoughts and conversations are so focused on the future or the past, that we forget to focus on the present. Being Present is bringing full awareness to the moment we are in. Filtering out distractions and bringing our attention to the task at hand.

Doing this allows the combined stresses of life to fade to the background as we focus on being right here, doing whatever it is that we are doing right now. With a focused mind and a sense of gratitude for this very moment.

As we’ve talked about in class, one of ways to improve our ability to come into the present moment is to calm the mind in meditation. Meditating at any time of the day, brings rewards that filter into all aspects of life. Any time Is the perfect time to refresh or renew ourselves. We just have to choose to make the time for it and allow it to actually benefit us.

Between our regular meditations or moments of quietness and prayer, we can use short meditations for even one or two minutes that can be refreshing, calming, centering and good for our health and clarity. They open the window of communication to our higher wisdom, returning us to our spiritual perspective and allowing us to connect to God and to ourselves. This allows us to focus on God’s peace, (which as we’ve talked about is already within us) We can center our attention on Love and trust which will allow us to take actions from a place that is centered, confident and peaceful.

Our Goal for this next week is to bring ourselves to this calming connection as many times a day as possible. And most importantly to PRACTICE IT WHEN WE NEED IT MOST! We can practice becoming more present in our daily tasks. You can practice 5,4,3,2,1 and focusing on the tasks on your senses, on really allowing yourself to be more present and in the moment. We may have to remove distractions and take some deep breaths, but we can do it. 🙂 The more we practice and allow ourselves to live more in the present, the better we will be able to enjoy one day a time with focused energy.

Here’s one way you can practice this.

▫️Stop what you’re doing.

▫️Take three deep breaths and allow yourself to feel what is going on in your body and mind.

▫️Invite the calming peace and love to be with you.

▫️ Start your next task with gratitude, kindness joy, compassion and love.

The choice of how you want to live and what we want to focus on, will always be ours. Choose what is best for your Mind, Body and Soul. This is your life and you can choose to make it joyful, peaceful and beautiful. Allow God to help you align to that peaceful, loving and beautiful energy one moment at a time.

Hope that you can allow yourself to have more moments to access your inner oasis. Can’t wait to see you tonight at 7pm so that we may strengthen your Body, Mind and Spirit. And do something amazing for ourselves today. ❤️

Love,

Lili

Gratitude Power

Gratitude is one of the most overlooked tools that we all have access to every day. Cultivating gratitude doesn’t cost any money and it certainly doesn’t take much time, but the benefits are enormous.

Did you know that just by being grateful you can shield yourself from negativity? There’s a study that shows that being grateful can instantly make you at least 25% happier, it rewires your brain, eliminates stress, strengthens your relationship with yourself and others and it increases your mental strength.

Not only that, but God wants to remind you that He wants you to focus on gratitude instead of focusing on the things that don’t seem to be working right in your life. He has promised us this; “And he who receiveth all things with thankfulness shall be made glorious; and the things of this earth shall be added unto him, even an hundred fold, yea, more.” (D&C 78:19) How amazing that God has promised us that as we focus on gratitude, He will bless us with even more than what we have now. Do we trust Him to do that for ourselves as we choose to be more thankful?

The more we’re able to practice gratitude the more we will invite joy into our lives. And Practicing is the part that will really change our lives.

So, how can you make this a part of your daily life? You can start first thing in the morning by thanking God for a new opportunity of having a new day, for your gifts and blessings. You can also have a gratitude journal to help you notice the daily blessings. Throughout the day you can have moments to just breathe and be in that feeling of gratitude. Or you can make it a point during your family dinner to say one thing you’re each thankful for. All of these things will invite joy into your life and the life of your loved ones and it will also add the physical and spiritual benefits of being grateful.

So, If you’ve been feeling stressed and overwhelmed please take a moment to stop what you’re doing, to have a second to just close our eyes and to take a few deep breaths….Just taking a moment to be thankful for this simple ability to take in a breath is all you need to focus on.

With each breath that comes into our body we can experience deeper and deeper feelings of gratitude for all that we have and for all that we’ve received from God. We can allow those breaths to strengthen us and to renew and energize our body, our mind and our spirit. Remember, focus on your blessings. You’re in charge of controlling how you feel and what to focus on. Let it be for your benefit and for your inner peace.

The goal for this week is to be thankful DAILY ☀️when you start feeling stressed take a moment to count your blessings instead. Think about the simple gift of life. The fact that you’re able to be on this earth today, that you can breathe, be here and present with everything that surrounds you. The more that you focus on those things the more you’ll enjoy your day, the more stress will disappear and you’ll be able to feel peaceful and joyful and instead focus on the abundant blessings that God has given you and will continue to give you.

St. John 14: 18 says
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
One of the ways in which we can feel the comfort of God is by expressing gratitude to Him and by being willing to trust in the promise that He will never leave us comfortless. Gratitude will allow us to open our eyes to see more of the blessings that God has given us and in return It will allow us to strengthen our relationship with Him. We will be able to see our trust in Him more and we’ll be able to believe in His will and goodness for our lives. This will allow us to stop fearing and instead have more faith in Him and in ourselves. And once we’re able to do that we can then help Him to reach out to others in gratitude to testify of His goodness and to be a light and a blessing to those around us.

The benefits of gratitude not only bring health and mental strength into our lives. They also add confidence in God and in ourselves that will allow us to have a way more joyful, enjoyable and peaceful life. We will be better able to help ourselves and others on our journey, and it will remind us daily of the love of God. The choice is yours, let gratitude be your blessing today.

CLASS IS CANCELED TODAY but we will be back next week ready to do something awesome for our Body, Mind and Spirit.

Our spiritual goal for this week is to keep a gratitude journal or to express our gratitude daily and see how we feel.

Our physical goal is to cut out the sugary drinks and to drink more water instead. We’ll also try to exercise at least 3 days this week.

TODAY, FOCUS ON THE THINGS THAT MATTER MOST, BE GRATEFUL AND TAKE IT ONE DAY AT A TIME. You’ve got this!

Lili

Choose Joy

Choosing joy can be hard sometimes. Specially during the times when we’re trying to endure some of the most difficult moments that life has to offer. On some days even the smallest step toward joy can feel like climbing a mountain. The truth is, we can honor a wide range of feelings, in the span of one day, while moving at any pace we choose toward that which is one step lighter.

Research has shown that although some people are born with a more positive disposition, anyone can reprogram their thoughts to foster more feelings of joy and happiness. Once we become aware of the negative repetitive thoughts that keep us distracted and distressed, we can turn toward prayer and positive affirmations to break the cycle. And over time, these new positive thoughts will become habitual.

Some of the best affirmations we can use, can be found in the word of God. Using scripture to regain peace and strength can become one of our best tools to fight against the negative thoughts that try to take over. God wants us to remember that we can choose to Rejoice.

1 Thessalonians 6:16-18 Says; Rejoice evermore.
Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Joy isn’t optional, it is an essential part of those who believe in God. Because we know and trust in a God who created us to have Joy. We know that He wants us to find joy in the journey. He wants us to learn to CHOOSE that for ourselves. & I believe that if it comes from the word of God, it’s placed there with love. There is wisdom in the words of God, and I believe that someday He will ask us about how much Joy we chose to focus on in our lives.

When we can feel our connection to God, we can start to see that as children of God, He wants us to experience the ups and downs of life with Him. That we may remember that through it all we can find joy and focus on the opportunity of seeing God amidst whatever storm we may be facing. He truly can become the God of our circumstances. We can strengthen our faith in Him, notice the good around us and focus on joy one day at a time.

Joy isn’t a feeling that is dependent on our circumstances. It is a response to the goodness of God and our eternal salvation. Choosing joy has very little to do with how we feel and everything to do with how we obey, how we trust and how we believe in the love of God. ❤️

Choosing joy is a spiritual practice, renewing our connection with the divine as we become lighter, more mindful and more peaceful. When in alignment with the spirit of God we can relax and trust that all things will be done according to His will. We will trust and focus on our blessings. We will see that we are safe. We are home in the peace of God. And this is who we really are.

Gos is a God of love and of Joy. He wants us to choose more Joy! That’s why He sent us here. His purpose for us is to be joyful. Christ sacrificed himself for us looking forward to the joy that His sacrifice would bring to all humanity. The opportunity for us to repent, to return to Him. The plan of God for us is based on his love and Joy for his children. We can choose today to be more joyful and to look for the joy in all circumstances that we may be in or focus on the hope of Joy we can have as we overcome our challenges and difficulties. We can train ourselves to focus on the good, on love, peace and the joy that can come living a life with God daily.

President Russell M. Nelson said; “The joy we feel has little to do with “the circumstances of our lives and everything to do with the focus of our lives,” As we focus on keeping God at the center of our lives, praying and strengthening our relationship with Him. We will experience the true and lasting joy that surpasses any material or worldly possessions we may gain. True and lasting joy comes from God. & it will strengthen us and fill us each day of our lives.

Our goal for the week is to FOCUS ON JOY. We can practice choosing joy in this very moment. We have to PRACTICE feeling joy and inviting more of it into our lives.

Find joy in living yourself, in choosing things that bring you joy daily. Be joyful in your activities, while you exercise choose to be joyful in the moments when you’re taking care of yourself and others. Even choosing joy while you clean or do the daily tasks. Practice it! Try it out and notice how much better you feel.

Finally, in your heart say to yourself: I open my heart to the possibility of joy flowing in my life. I am grateful for the gifts of today. I trust that my benevolent Father has a divine plan for my highest good. I trust in Him and in myself. I choose Joy one moment at a time💛🥰

CLASS WILL BE CANCELED NEXT WEDNESDAY so, hopefully you can make it to class tonight at 7pm. We will focus on releasing stress and also on allowing ourselves to focus on being joyful and grateful for all that we have and are able to do. Remember that you are your own best cheerleader and that the motivation to get yourself to class has to come from YOU! So, do this for yourself and feel the difference. You’ll leave feeling renewed and amazing! ❤️ Hope to see you there! ❤️

Faith Over Fear

Faith and fear can have the same power in our body. We just have to choose which one we want to hold on to. We can’t have Faith and Fear at the same time, one will always overpower the other one. We are get to choose daily if we want to focus on faith or if we will allow fear to control our thoughts, emotions and actions.

We already know that the path of fear brings even more stress, anxiety, heartaches, insecurity and it’s negative effects also negatively affect our health.

So, why should we choose Faith? God put us on this earth for us to learn form our experiences. He is testing us to see if we will do all the things that He has asked us to do. One of those things is to learn to walk by Faith. We must learn in this life to rely on Him DAILY & to place our full trust in God. He wants to change our hearts ♥️ So that we may learn to set aside the fear and to come to Him with full trust, believe & faith in Him. This is one of the greatest accomplishments that we can have in our lives. Can you imagine confronting all of your fears, anxieties and stresses coming from a place of Faith over fear?

Have you thought about how faith works? Faith is what makes everything happen. Think about the smallest little things we do daily. Before every single action there’s a thought and a desire to do something. We believe that we can do that action and we actually go and do it. 🙂 It’s that moment of BELIEVING that creates our daily actions. It’s because, we believe that we actually try to do the action.

Because we have that FAITH and believe that the results to our actions will come. For example; Would we plant ? if we didn’t think we could reap? Would we try to ride a bike if we didn’t think we could do it? Etc…It’s the belief that WE CAN, that makes it possible for us to reap the benefits.

So, basically we use faith daily without even knowing it. We just forget to put it to use on the bigger things that come into our lives. Which is exactly what God is waiting for us to do. To trust Him in BIGGER & GREATER WAYS! & to witness what we can do ANYTHING with His help.

He tells us In 2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

He has also reminded us by saying; Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Deuteronomy 31:6

See how God has given us a promise? He is a God that doesn’t lie. If he promises to be with us, then He will be with us. It is only up to us to believe HIM and to open up the way for Him to work His promises and miracles in our lives.

We have to trust His words and be ready and prepared to do them. 🙂 If we search the words and promises of God we will see that He doesn’t give us a spirit of fear (because it’s the adversary that uses fear against us & to STOP us from progressing..) God uses FAITH! Power, Hope & belief to push us toward our progression.

He tells us in Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Our world is need of more spiritual strength. We need to strengthen ourselves daily by filling our minds and souls with positive faith building messages. We can make our homes places of peace where we filter what we allow to enter into our homes and into our lives. As we try to do our best to bring more light into ourselves daily, we will be better able to talk to God and have a stronger relationship with Him. We will be able to fully let go of our fears and know that we can receive His strength by coming closer to Him and really letting Him take control of our lives by doing our best daily and leaving the rest of the control all in His hands.

When we fully trust in Him we will be able to see more clearly the miracles in our lives. We will be able to be a light to others and to be the strength that they need during their difficult times.

As we make it a priority to experience God more fully and completely in our lives, we will be better able to testify of His goodness, power and mercy. Others will be able to see God through us because of the way in which we practice living more by faith and not by fear. & we will also be able to light the path of others and be open to seeing the light that others have to offer to us as well.

As we allow ourselves to trust God in our daily tasks, activities and overwhelming or stressful moments the more we will be able to feel His love for us. We will be better able to choose better thoughts, actions and emotions for us and we will be able to feel lighter knowing that we’re trusting in Him for all that we do & our actions are dedicated to Him and to the Love and trust that we have for Him.

It will take some practice and a daily reminder for us to come from Faith and not Fear. But it’s doable and we can continue to grow and strengthen our faith muscles. Remember of course that faith without works is dead. So we must put in the work necessary and the ACTION to move toward the right direction or that desire that God would want us to focus on and keep in our hearts.

Having faith directing us daily will impact our lives and trickle down to all areas of our lives. We will come from a place of faith and and doing the work in all of the areas of our lives and we will experience first hand the POWER OF FAITH working, GROWING stronger and STRONGER in our lives. Even to the point where we will witness miracles and the amazing power of God flowing in our daily lives.

I hope that we can feel strengthened by the faith that is already within us. That we may let it grow and allow it to take over and renew our mind, heart and soul. That we may practice trusting in God more and know that ALL things will work together for our good.

Remember that today God loves you! He cares for you and He wants you to grow in spirit. He wants you to CHOOSE to do it for yourself and remember that He promised to help you through it all. It requires our alignment to Faith and letting fear go because we know in whom we trust.

So, just for today practice trusting Him. Give Him your negative thoughts and emotions and change them to be aligned with your Savior and your Father in Heaven. What would they tell you about your problems? What would they want you to believe today? Try it for yourself and you will see and feel Him with more clarity in your life. We are children of God, lived and created by the god who is full of love, light and peace. Faith is part of our divine DNA & we can strengthen it and allow it to be with us one day at a time.

Today we gain strength because we live by Faith and not by fear.

Our spiritual goal for the week is to let go of fear and live by Faith. We can talk to Him daily and ask Him for guidance to know what to do, and how to respond to the challenges we may be facing. We can then listen and follow the promptings that He speaks to our heart and mind. His voice is peaceful, calm, full of love, we just have to make the time to talk to Him and listen to what we feel from that Higher wisdom on how to react to all things. You’ve got this. Just believe in Him and in yourself.

Our physical goal for the week is to make time for exercise and to choose healthy snacks and foods that we know are good for us. Exercise helps us in so many ways. It lifts our mood, helps us release stress and allows us to get stronger and healthy.

We just have to motivate ourselves to do good things for our body, Mind and Soul. Hope that you can make it to class tonight at 7pm to renew and strengthen yourself physically, mentally and spiritually.😊

Remember our spiritual goal for this week is to live by faith and not by Fear. So, leave the fear at home and come in faith knowing that you will gain something wonderful from this class. I hope that you can make it! Even if it’s just to come and meditate at the end. It will all help you to relax and allow your mind to be calm and to feel renewed in every way.

Also, if your heart tells you to invite others whom God has put in your heart that may benefit from class, please invite them to come with you. I know that we will all benefit from it and we’ll leave feeling AMAZING! Peaceful & ready to do our best and to TRUST GOD for the rest of the week. Make it happen for yourself and feel the difference, especially in the moments that you need it most.

Hope to see you tonight!

Love,

Lili

Be Kind To Yourself

For the majority of us, self care is usually at the bottom of our to do list or sometimes it’s not even there at all. Our days are focused on giving ourselves in service to others, creating, learning, living, being and doing. Until at the end of the day we realize that we’re just exhausted and we had no time to give to ourselves much of anything.

As I’ve experienced this in my life, I’ve started to realize that self care Self care is a spiritual practice. I believe that as we practice loving ourselves, we will be able to make our connection to God even stronger. Self-care and self-love is the foundation of all spiritual practices. If we don’t honor ourselves, we can’t possibly honor our oneness with God and all of His creations. If we don’t care for ourselves, we are unable to serve others from the empty well. If we don’t see that we are a magnificent reflection of God, of His love and of His goodness then we can’t be God’s magnificent reflection in the world.

As we’re able to love ourselves and to see the light of God flowing within us, we will be better able to express more love for ourselves and for others. It will become easier to make wise choices about the way we spend our time, how much time we spend on social media, what we choose to do with our time or the ways in which we choose to strengthen our body, mind and spirit daily.

We can only become what we accept ourselves as being. So let’s accept our magnificence, our divine connection to God. Our ability to love ourselves MORE and to give more fully to ourselves and to those around us.

Here are a few things that we can practice in the world around us.

💖 Be kind in the way that you think of yourself. Check your thoughts about yourself. Question where they come from and if necessary edit out any negative or unkind thoughts. You deserve better for yourself.

💖 Be kind to your body in all ways, fueling it with healthy foods, exercise and plenty of joyful activities. At least one joyful activity per day 😉

💖 Be kind to yourself by seeing your spirit as a radiant, powerful expression of God‘s love.

💖 Be kind to yourself by taking downtime when your mind, body and spirit requested from you. You will know when you feel resistance, or that feeling of dragging yourself from one event to the other. Remember to stop, check in with yourself, get present, take some deep breaths and treat yourself as a beloved child of God. Listen for His wisdom and all else will be accomplished with greater ease.

💖 Lovingly remind yourself that it’s important to care for yourself and that you deserve some time each day for that. You can also practice believing in yourself and saying to yourself; I lovingly care for myself knowing that I am a child of God, radiant powerful and beautiful. When I am clear and healthy, I enjoy life more deeply and I love others more fully.

Strengthening the relationship that we have with ourselves, is like a little seed. It requires daily nourishment. It starts in our minds. The more that we’re able to check our thoughts and replace them with healthier & kinder thoughts toward ourselves, the better we will start to feel. Then our actions toward ourself will also change. We will be better able to keep the promises that we make to ourselves, we will see our connection to ourselves becoming stronger & healthier. We will see that our self esteem & confidence will start to align to God and not so much the world around us. We will learn to not be so affected by what others say and do because we will be able to have our own back and loving ourselves enough to see us more as God sees us.

Love you all and I hope that you can grow that love within yourself 💖🙏🏼🥰 You’re in control of your thoughts, feelings and actions. Make them work for your benefit and God will bless you for your good efforts. Tonight we will focus on loving ourselves by taking some time to strengthen our Body, Mind and Spirit. Hope that you can make it at 7:00pm & do this for yourself. 💪🏼🥰💛

Love,

Lili 🌸
