Feeling Overwhelmed? 💖

I love to spend time daily outside meditating. Even if it’s for just a few minutes, I need to slow my mind and re-focus. Sometimes those are the best moments when I can feel God speak to my heart and mind. & I truly treasure those moments of inspiration. I felt something come to me as I thought about the feeling of overwhelm and I wanted to share it with you.

As I prayed and asked God about how to overcome the feelings of overwhelm, I felt this incredible peace from the Lord letting me know that the feeling of overwhelm is closely related to fear. & fear isn’t a feeling that comes from God. The feeling of overwhelm is related to stress, comparison and at the core of it, fear. It can be a fear of not knowing what’s gonna happen? The fear of not being able to accomplish all the things, maybe fear of what the world would think, the opinions of others or the fear of feeling less than. Fear and overwhelm are closely connected. I never thought of that! God does want to communicate with us when we truly seek Him. He does answer our prayers when we come to Him.

One of the main things that I felt is that the feeling overwhelmed, is not a feeling that comes from God. We must recognize that the Lord doesn’t speak to us like that. Those feelings of overwhelm come from what we allow our minds to “chatter or yell” at us about. Our minds are so powerful. They can throw all kinds of thoughts at us, but it’s up to us to learn to practice checking our thoughts often. To be able to see them from a distance, to recognize what the thoughts are telling us. And most importantly, to have the strength to help ourselves move past the negative thoughts, into a thought that is more helpful and that aligns with God.

Some of the things we can ask ourselves are.

▫️Do these thoughts feel true to me?

▫️Are they really true?

▫️How do I feel when I think these thoughts

▫️Do I feel better or worse when I think these thoughts?

▫️Can I resolve this problem?

▫️Is this something I can control?

▫️Would God speak to me this way?

▫️Do these thoughts align with the words of God and what He would tell me about myself and my life?

Truly reflecting on our thoughts and our “overwhelm” can help us to recognize that those thoughts and feelings are not what God would tell us. It’s not the way He would speak to us at all!

We can definitely take time to try to solve a problem, to find a solution to what we’re experiencing. But sometimes we can’t find a solution, and all we feel is all kinds of thoughts piling up on us. It’s during these moments when we need to recognize what’s going on, to be aware of our thoughts and just take a moment to stop. 🛑 Breathe, silence and purposefully calm our minds and take a moment to be with God. We can step out in nature or do whatever is necessary for us to have a moment to re-charge ourselves. To try to listen to what our Father in Heaven and Savior would tell us.

Turning our focus away from our problems or negative emotions will allow us to process our emotions in the way that God would want us to. Which is by TRUSTING HIM AND LETTING HIM TAKE THESE THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS FROM US. Truly handing it to Him and being willing to follow the inspiration that He speaks to our hearts and minds about what He would want us to do.

Our Father in Heaven & Jesus Christ want us to trust him instead of feeling overwhelmed.

I can’t imagine Jesus walking around the earth feeling stressed and overwhelmed. Instead I can imagine Him feeling centered, peaceful, focused and most importantly trusting and knowing that each hour is spent according to inspiration that the Father would want Him to have. Christ trusted in the Father. So, we should try each hour and each day to trust in Christ and in the Father as well. They both LOVE US! That’s why the Savior gave His life for us! ❤️ They want us to overcome evil with good! To be able to notice how our thoughts can be negative and how the enemy temps us to feel terrible like himself. The more we allow the heavy, negative thoughts, the more we will experience negative self talk. We then begin to project that on ourselves and we instead begin to carry more feelings of overwhelm, frustration, anger, anxiety, impatience, stress, and all of those negative thoughts take control over us. ALL OF THOSE ARE FEELINGS THAT ARE NOT OF GOD. Why would we want to carry that or hold on to that?!?? 🙁

That is why it’s so important for us to check our thoughts. To recognize them and to practice bringing those thoughts to Cheist our Savior and ask Him to help us change them. 💛 In class we practice calming our mind each week. We practice checking our thoughts and then turning them to God. Why? Because it’s only by practicing that we get better at it. It’s like exercise for our mind 💪🏼💖 The more that we practice, the better we will be able to handle the negative thoughts that try to take over our minds and hearts.

Instead we want to be able to get to a point where we remind ourselves of the type of God that we serve. Of the type of God that we know. To remind ourselves of ALL OF THE TIMES WHERE WE HAVE SEEN HIS HAND IN OUR LIVES. & to trust Him for what He can teach us during the difficult times as well as to trust that He will provide abundantly as we turn to look to Him.

Focusing on Christ is the key. This is the scripture that came to my heart when I was thinking about this. “LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED OR “OVERWHELMED” NEITHER LET IT BE AFRAID.” He also tells us in D&C6:36 “Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not.” & Romans 12:2 He tells us, Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.

He will guide us on what to do with each hour. He will inspire us to focus on what we can control. On knowing that we can do and overcome all things through Christ who strengthens us. And He will help us to set good goals for ourselves that will allow us to overcome whatever may try to come take over our mind or steal our peace.

As we take time daily to stop and quiet our minds, we will be better able to recognize the thoughts that are coming. Sometimes we can even write them down our thoughts to check and see how true they really sound once they’re written down. Being able to check our thoughts is something that God wants us to learn while we’re on this earth. To recognize the thoughts that come from God vs the ones that don’t. OUR DIVINE SPIRIT CAN GUIDE OUR MIND TO DIVINE THINKING. So, it’s up to us to stop, breathe, spend some quiet time alone and turn our thoughts to God and allow Him to bring us the peace that we need.

Remember to let go of overwhelm or whatever thoughts are disrupting your peace. Take a minute for yourself. Breathe through your thoughts overwhelm, fear or whatever is going on that doesn’t feel good and invite God to bring you His peace and a feeling of calm to allow you to feel His light and His love to cover you completely. Trust in your ability to turn away from the thoughts that don’t help you to instead turn then into thoughts that God would want you to have. 💪🏼🥰 Be more present, live in the moment. Focus on today! Speak good thoughts to your mind. Give yourself words of affirmations and words to remind such as “ I AM A CHILD OF GOD. MY LIFE AND ALL THAT EXISTS IS IN HIS HANDS. I TRUST HIM. I LOVE HIM & I TRUST IN MY DIVINE POTENTIAL AND MY ABILITY TO FOCUS MY MIND ON YHE THINGS OF GOD. HIS WAYS ARE HIGHER THAN MY WAYS. HE HAS A PERFECT PLAN FOR ME & I HAVE FAITH IN MY LOVING GOD WHO WILL PROVIDE HIS ABUNDANCE OF LOVE, PEACE AND COMFORT IN MY LIFE. I BELIEVE IN CHRIST AND I CAN DO ALL THINGS IN CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME”.

Trust In God & In His Promises 💖

In a world full of uncertainty and challenges, developing trust in God is essential to finding peace, purpose, and direction in life. Trusting in God means having faith in His wisdom, love, and ability to guide us through every aspect of our lives. This trust requires more than just believing in His existence. It’s a confident expectation that He will fulfill His promises to us as we strive to live according to His will.

Trusting in God is not just about passive belief, but purposefully relying on His timing, wisdom, and love. It means that we turn to Him in all aspects of our lives, whether in times of joy or trial. As Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy always acknowledge Him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

This passage teaches us that when we place our trust in God, we let go of the need to control everything in our lives. Instead of relying solely on our limited understanding, we turn to the Lord, trusting that He sees the bigger picture and knows what is best for us. Trusting God also requires patience, understanding that His timing may not always align with ours, but that His timing is actually always perfect.

Take a moment to think about the ways in which you are building and strengthening your trust in God. 💛

Building trust in God is a daily process that requires faith, effort, and consistency. There are things that can help us build and strengthen our trust in him. For example: We can choose to pray with real intent. I love finding a quiet place if posible in nature for me to speak to my Father in Heaven. I need that time alone to align my thoughts and my soul and to be ready to Hear Him speak to me too. Prayer is our direct line of communication with God. When we pray sincerely, seeking His guidance, when we show Him that we are willing to listen, we invite his presence into our lives.

Can you imagine God seeing His precious daughter humbly praying and asking Him for help? The God that we love and serve is a God who is filled with compassion. He rejoices when we come to Him, and He wants us to know that we are never alone. That He does hear us and He wants us to feel His love and peace as we pray. S, we can purposefully try to remember daily, that every time we pray, we invite His presence to be with us . We can trust and believe that He will make Himself manifest unto us through His spirit so that we may feel His love, His guiding peace and the light that He can provide for our daily lives. ☀️

Another important way to build trust in God, is for us to study His words. The Scriptures have so many examples and stories of how God has delivered, protected and blessed His people. As we learned from the words of God, those words also testify to us and teach us that God is always faithful to those who trust Him.

One of the things that we learn from reading the words of God, is that He has asked us to keep His commandments. He’s done this because He loves us and knows that as we choose to follow and keep His commandments this will bring blessings into our lives. To me obedient means that we’re submissive, malleable, meek and willing to be taught and shaped into who our Father in Heaven would like us to become. Obedience to God (who knows it all) is truly beautiful and rewarding. It brings a peace that will be eternal. There’s no one better in this world to obey, than to obey God. Our loving Father and creator. ❤️

Obedience to God’s commandments is one of the clearest ways for us to show our trust in Him. As we follow His guidance, and live according to his standards, we invite blessings into our lives. We may not always see the immediate fruits of our obedience, but trusting that God‘s ways are higher than ours, will lead us to eternal blessings.

As our trust in God grows, we begin to exercise better faith in our trials. Trusting God doesn’t mean that life will be free of challenges. In fact, trials are often the very means by which our trust in God is tested and strengthened. President Thomas S. Monson once said “Trust in the Lord with all your heart. He will do for you what no other power can. He will extend His arms of mercy toward you, to lift you up, and to carry you when you need His support.” When we face difficulties with faith, trusting that God has a purpose in our suffering, we can find comfort and peace, knowing that He is shaping us into who we are meant to become.

And what about what God will do for us as we trust Him?

God has made so many beautiful promises to those who trust in Him. While we may not always see the results of our faith immediately, we are assured that God will always bless us according to His will and timing. Some of these blessings can be:

💖 Having Peace Amidst Adversity:

Trusting in God, doesn’t eliminate challenges, but it does bring an inner peace that sustains us through them. The savior promised, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27). This peace comes from knowing that God is in control, even when life feels uncertain.

💖 Another blessing is; Receiving Guidance & Direction: When we trust in God, we can know for sure that He will lead us on the path that is right for us. Whether through promptings of the spirit, the council of leaders or the impressions we receive as we study the scriptures, God will direct our steps as we seek His will.

💖 God promises to give us the strength to overcome: Trusting in God gives us the strength to phase our challenges with courage and faith. As we rely on His power, we are promised that we can overcome ALL things. As Paul wrote, “I can do all things through Christ, which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13)

And finally, God promises us His eternal reward. God‘s greatest promise to those who trust in Him, is eternal life. As we remain faithful and trust in His plan throughout our lives, we are promised the opportunity to return to live with Him and our families for eternity. This eternal perspective is one too the things that can help us endure the trials of life with patience and hope. 🫶🏼

It’s better to trust God than to trust anything or anyone else on this earth. Regardless of your challenges and circumstances that you may be facing today, just turn it all over to God. Trust in Him. Trusting in God is not a one-time decision but a lifelong journey of faith. It involves continually and DAILY turning our hearts and minds toward Him, especially when we face uncertainties or challenges.

As we develop this trust, we will find peace, guidance, and strength, knowing that God loves us and will fulfill His promises to us. So, today I want to encourage you and invite you to build a stronger relationship with your loving creator. Strengthen your relationship with Him through the power of prayer, remember that the enemy never wants you to pray. He never wants you to discover what you can accomplish with God. So, make it your priority to PRAY MORE! To let God know everything that is in your heart and mind and be willing to listen and ACT upon what God places in your heart. Read from His words daily, study, and obey His commandments in Joy.

This will allow us to be strong spiritually, mentally and physically ❤️ God will bless us in every aspect of our lives as we strive to follow Him and TRUST IN HIM. We can develop the deep trust that allows us to say, “Not mine, but thy will be done,”

God’s plan for us is far greater than anything we could plan for ourselves. Let’s TRUST HIM, LOVE HIM AND DO OUR BEST. ❤️

If you need to let go of stress, worries or anxieties I invite you to give yourself one hour today to come to class. I promise that you will be able to release stress and tension and you will leave feeling peaceful and renewed. I hope that you can make it tonight at 7 PM, and invite others to benefit as well. 💖

Faith Over Fear

Life is unpredictable. No matter how hard we try to plan and prepare, challenges arise that test our faith and fill us with fear and stress. We worry about the future, our families, our responsibilities, and the unknown. These burdens can feel overwhelming, making peace seem out of reach.

But the Savior invites us to take a different path. He pleads with us:

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

This is not just a comforting phrase—it’s a promise. Christ will give us rest if we choose to trust Him. That doesn’t mean our trials will disappear overnight, but it does mean that we don’t have to carry them alone.

When Peter walked on water toward Jesus, he did something incredible. But the moment he took his eyes off the Savior and focused on the storm, he began to sink (Matthew 14:28–31). The same thing happens to us. If we focus on our fears, we will feel like we’re drowning in stress. But if we fix our gaze on Christ, we will find the strength to move forward. We are capable of shifting our focus to Christ no matter what we’re going through. It requires strength but we can choose faith over fear and feel the difference.

So how can we practice and strengthen our mind and soul to choose faith rather than fear?

1. Pray with Real Intent; Instead of letting fear dominate our thoughts, we can pour our hearts out to the Lord. He knows our struggles and stands ready to help us. When we replace anxious thoughts with heartfelt prayers, we invite peace into our lives.

2. Fill Your Mind with His Word; Fear thrives in the absence of faith. Immersing ourselves in the scriptures, in the words of God builds spiritual confidence and pushes out doubt. When we read about God’s faithfulness to His children, we remember that He will also be faithful to us.

3. Turn Worry into Worship; Rather than dwelling on what we can’t control, we can focus on what we can—serving others, expressing gratitude, and deepening our relationship with Christ. When we choose to worship instead of worry, our perspective shifts from fear to trust.

4. Trust the Lord’s Timing; Fear often comes when we don’t see immediate solutions. But faith reminds us that God is never late. He is working in our lives, even when we don’t see it. Trusting His timing allows us to let go of stress and lean into His plan.

5. Take Action in Faith; Recognize that FEAR PARALYZES AND FAITH EMPOWERS. When we act in faith- whether by making a difficult decision, stepping outside our comfort zones, or simply choosing to believe that God is with us—we prove that we trust Him. And He always blesses those who move forward in faith.

The Promise of Peace. Don’t we all want and need a little more peace in our lives?

Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace. When we turn to Him, He replaces our fear with faith and our stress with serenity. As we let go of our burdens and trust in Him, we will find the rest He has promised.

So today, whatever is weighing on your heart, take it to the Savior. Lay it at His feet. Allow yourself to be empowered by your faith in Christ instead of being paralyzed by fear which is what the enemy wants. Allow yourself to be the PROTECTOR of your mind. Choose thoughts that uplift you and help you. Be kind to yourself and others. Focus on the good, on your blessings, and take a moment to breathe and be present. Most importantly, remember that God loves you, and He will guide you through and be by your side to help you one day at a time.

Trust Him when He says “Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)

Let go. Trust Him. And find peace.

Tonight in class we will focus on letting go of fear, insecurities and negativity and focusing instead on bringing in more faith, better thoughts and more peace to be with us. This is our goal for the week. Faith over fear.

I pray that this message helps you to gain strength and to renew your mind. Love you all and hope to see you tonight at 7pm! 🙂

Love,

Lili 🌸

Elevate Your Thoughts

In our fast-paced world, it’s easy for our minds to be filled with distractions, negativity, and even self-doubt. The Prophet Isaiah taught, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord” (Isaiah 55:8). This verse invites us to elevate our thoughts—to seek a higher, more divine perspective in all that we do. It’s always easier to let our thoughts come and go. But when we can practice recognizing and changing our thoughts for the better. This will change our lives! God wants us to be the masters of our minds and learn to elevate our thoughts.

The scriptures repeatedly emphasize the importance of our thoughts and the power of our minds. King Benjamin taught, “Watch yourselves, and your thoughts, and your words, and your deeds” (Mosiah 4:30). Our thoughts shape our actions, our attitudes, and ultimately, our spiritual well-being. When we let our minds dwell on things that are virtuous, lovely, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8), we align ourselves more closely with the Spirit of the Lord.

So, what are some of the ways that we can elevate our thoughts?

1. Immerse Ourselves in the Scriptures

The words of Christ have the power to cleanse and uplift our minds. As we study the scriptures daily, we invite light and truth into our hearts, replacing fear and negativity with faith and understanding. How amazing for us to be able to recognize that each one of us has the power to replace the negativity with faith and love toward God instead.

2. Pray For a Renewed Mind.

Have you ever thought about asking God to help you change your thoughts? To help you renew your mind? The Apostle Paul encouraged us to be “transformed by the renewing of [our] mind” (Romans 12:2). Prayer is a powerful tool in this process. When we sincerely ask for help in thinking more righteously, the Lord strengthens us to see ourselves and others as He does. We will also see that when we ask God to help us with our thoughts that little prayer in our heart will allow us to be more aware of the thoughts that are coming from the energy vs the thoughts that come from God. He wants to bless our minds to be aligned, anchored and renewed by our Savior Jesus Christ.

3. Guard What We Consume

What we watch, read, and listen to greatly influences our thoughts. If we want to elevate our minds, we should be mindful of what we allow into our hearts. Uplifting music, wholesome entertainment, and positive conversations can help us maintain a spirit of peace.

4. Serve Others with Love

Christlike service shifts our focus from selfish concerns to the needs of others. As we follow the Savior’s example and love our neighbors, our thoughts become more centered on kindness, gratitude, and humility. Service helps us to heal and allows us to be more connected to our creator who is loving, kind and compassionate with all of us.

5. Seek to Have The Spirit & To Be in Holy Places

Our Home can be a holy place, being in nature can be a holy place, attending church of a Temple can also allow our minds and hearts to be lifted toward God. Creating places of peace for ourselves can allow our minds to think “eternal” and encourage us to live a life that is more aligned with God and what He has for our lives.

In addition to spiritual practices, there are also mindfulness techniques that can help us to elevate our thoughts. These are a few techniques can help us become more aware of our thoughts and guide them toward positivity and faith. Here are a few ways to practice mindfulness.

1. Centering Prayer and Breathwork

Take a few moments each day to sit in stillness, focus on your breathing, and silently repeat a scripture or phrase like, “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). This helps calm the mind and create space for inspiration from the Spirit.

2. Thought Awareness and Reframing

Throughout the day, pay attention to your thoughts. When you notice negativity, doubt, or fear creeping in, gently reframe your thinking. For example, replace “I’m not good enough” with “I am a child of God, and He is helping me grow.”

3. Gratitude Journaling

Writing down three things you’re grateful for each day shifts your focus from what’s wrong to what’s right. Gratitude invites more joy and helps us recognize God’s hand in our lives.

4. Mindful Scripture Study

Instead of rushing through scripture reading, slow down. Read a verse or two, pause, and ask, “What does this mean for me today?” Let the words sink into your heart and ponder their personal application.

5. Nature Walks with Purpose

Take a walk outside and intentionally notice God’s creations—the colors of the sky, the feeling of the wind, the sounds of birds. As you do this, offer silent prayers of gratitude, allowing the beauty of the earth to uplift your spirit.

I pray that this message will allow you to check your thoughts. The more aware we are of our thoughts the more we will recognize that there are hidden blessings in having higher thoughts.

When we consciously choose to elevate our thoughts, we invite more joy, clarity, and peace into our lives. President Russell M. Nelson has said, “When you reach up for the Lord’s power in your life with the same intensity that a drowning person has when grasping and gasping for air, power from Jesus Christ will be yours.”

As we strive to elevate our thoughts, we come closer to the Savior. Our faith grows, our burdens feel lighter, and we experience a greater measure of His love and guidance.

Let us make a daily effort to think higher, to align our minds with God’s, and to let our thoughts reflect the light of Christ.

Tonight in class we will not only get rid of stress and allow our bodies to become stronger and healthier. But we will also take a moment to slow down our thinking, renew and strengthen our thoughts to be more aligned and anchored in Christ. I promise that after coming to this class, you’ll feel AMAZING Physically, Mentally and Spiritually. Love you all and hope to see you tonight at 7pm. ❤️🥰
