Happy New Year!! As we begin 2022 I know that many of us start to plan out our goals and all that we want to accomplish this year. Many of our New Years resolutions involve loosing weight and getting healthier.
As I thought about this, I realized that the majority of us have probably been eating more during the holidays and by the time the New Year hits we feel kind of yucky end up creating some of these “health goals” from a negative perspective about ourselves. We say negative and unkind things to ourselves and I don’t want us to start the year creating goals that come from a negative self image about us. Instead, I want us to consciously choose to do the opposite.
During the holidays my family and I were able to spend a little time in North Carolina. While we were there, we talked about the beauty of each place. We named our favorite things about the beautiful nature we see in Florida, and how it has these incredible sunsets and breathtaking beaches. We also talked about the beauty of NC and how we experienced the same amazement by looking at the mountains and the forests. We felt so thankful to be able to experience the Beauty of Gods creations everywhere we went.
Just like the earth, animals, and plants that God created on this Earth, God also created us. He created bodies for our spirits to be housed. Our bodies are the temples to our spirits. We take care of nature and our temple/sacred buildings because of our love for them, their beauty, and the blessings they bring to this earth. When we think of our bodies let us try and think of them with the same admiration as we do towards the temples and the rest of God’s creations. Let us try and take care of ourselves as we would nature and our temples.
We can express daily gratitude for the creations that God has placed on earth for us. And most importantly for the ability that we have to be able to see, touch, smell and enjoy the beauty around us and the gift of having this body. It’s truly amazing how it all works. And even till this day science continues to study how the human body works. It truly is a divine creation. You come from divinity. Your soul has Divine DNA. Try for a moment to close your eyes, take some deep breaths and look within yourself at how the love of God flows through you and how this soul and body that you poses is truly a gift from a loving God who wants you to LOVE AND CARE for it ❤️ That loving God has even given you the gift to be able to CHOOSE for yourself what you want to think, what choices to make etc.
You have the freedom to choose how to take care of yourself. How to speak to yourself, what to feed yourself and how to allow your Mind and Spirit to GROW! God loves you so much He gives you the freedom to choose what to do with this amazing creation He has given you. The more we’re able to express gratitude for our body, the more we will be able to find our connection to God and the more inspiration we will gain as to the ways in which God wants us to care for our ourselves.
I invite you this year to connect more to yourself to CHOOSE TO LOVE YOURSELF MORE! To grow our confidence in God so that you may easily see the type of love you should have for yourself. Ask God to help you love yourself more and do all that you do from a place of Love and honor to yourself and to God. The daily choices we make are opportunities to honor ourselves and glorify God. Choose to life your life from a place of honoring your Body, Your Mind and your spirit because you know you’re a Daughter or Child of God. You have a Body to remind you of this daily! Make it your goal this year to strengthen and LOVE TAKING CARE OF YOUR BODY, MIND & SPIRIT.
The spirit and the body are the soul of man. The body and the spirit are meant to work in harmony with one another. We should, try to take good care of our physical bodies as well as our spirits. So, when you make up each morning and you see that sunrise or when you look at yourself In the mirror take a moment to thank God for what He has given you today. PRACTICE Speaking kindly and lovingly to yourself. Try to find the beauty that God has given you. Not only in the physical way but also the emotional and spiritual parts of you. Find your light, focus on that divine light within you and allow it to GROW! Focus your goals this year on coming from a place of love and not dissatisfaction with yourself. God doesn’t want you to allow the enemy to make you feel bad about yourself. Instead He wants you to TRUST HIM MORE THIS YEAR! TO LOVE YOURSELF & TO DO YOUR BEST ONE DAY AT A TIME ❤️
The goals that you set for yourself can come from a place of love. ❤️ GROW the appreciation for yourself daily! Make the choice daily to feel good about yourself. Recognize what your AMAZING BODY is able to do for you daily! For how it breaks down food and gives you energy. For how you’re able to process and CHOOSE to focus on good thoughts. For the opportunity to choose good exercise and healthy food to fuel you and for the blessing that it is to have it and be able to take care of it.
1 Corinthians 6:19 Says, What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
As 2022 begins, our Goal for this week and this month of January, is to come from a place of love, gratitude and appreciation. Express daily gratitude for your body, say your daily prayers and ask God to help you choose nutritious food and exercise to help you achieve your goals this month. Ask Him to help you tap into those things that will motivate you to move your body, to strengthen your mind and Spirit. It takes daily dedication. But you can do this! You’ve got this! You can accomplish your goals in a loving way and with a desire to help you gain a greater love for yourself and for all that was been placed around you. Remember to take it one day at a time and to choose today to take care of yourself and to be happy! ❤️
See you tonight at 5pm to start the New Year right and to do something AMAZING for your Body, Mind and Spirit! Come release stress and leave feeling renewed and ready for the rest of your week.
Love,
Lili ❤️
