Rise Higher

We are surrounded by distractions, habits, people and things that may cloud our vision and slow our progress towards becoming the person that we are meant to be. Many of us are easily influenced by what others do or think, by what society accepts, and to “fit in” we may act, say or do things that are not pleasing to God’s eyes. :(…I can only imagine how he must feel when we go against what God has told us to do.
We are spiritual beings living in mortal bodies. We were given these precious temples to allow our spirits to live inside. We are in charge of how we take care of our bodies and most importantly of how we take care of our spirits. I always give the example in class of  imagining ourselves being on an airplane and how we rise up and begin to see the little houses, the cars, all of our possessions behind etc. It will be the same when we leave this earth, except for the fact that we will leave EVERYTHING! even out bodies! This is when we will really realize that the whole time on this earth we were supposed to take excellent care of our spirits! to lear to bridle our passions, feelings, emotions, and to become a little bit more like the incredible children of GOD that we are.

Letting go of the natural man, and focusing instead on our spiritual side: means that we know the things that are truly important. it means that we learn to say NO to our passions, our addictions and to what the world and others would want us to do. It becomes easy to say no because we know that would rather please GOD more than the rest of the world or even ourselves. There’s a scripture that talks about this and It says

For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child,submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father. (Mosiah 3:19)
And the other one reads:
And now, my son, all men that are in a state of nature, or I would say, in a carnal state, are in the gall of bitterness and in the bonds of iniquity; they are without God in the world, and they have gone contrary to the nature of God; therefore, they are in a state contrary to the nature of happiness.(Alma 41:11)
We have a choice each day we can either choose to pamper and take care of spirit or to accept the enticings and passions of our natural man. The choice is ours, but the more that we practice feeding and taking care of our spirit the easier it will become to say NO to the things of the natural man. We will find true happiness this way knowing that we’re living the way that God intents us to do so and when we take care of our spirit this will also affect other areas of our life! we will have a desire to also take care of our bodies in a healthy way and to be service minded and kind to others. God is by our side ready to help us when we show him the full desire and intent to RISE UP in our lives and become the person that we are meant to become. ?
Our physical goal is to take care of our bodies in the healthiest way we can this week. eating good things, exercising and meditating.
Our Spiritual goal is to rise higher to control ourselves in the ways in which we know we need to change to come a little closer to God than we have been. 🙂 He will help us! <3

See the Beauty

Last week we talked about pride and learned that part of being prideful is also being judgmental. We usually judge others according to what we see with our own physical eyes and through our own paradigm. The truth is, that we never really know what the other person is truly feeling or what situations they may be going through or have had to go through on their lives. When we judge others, this depletes our own energy!…And If we want to keep good, loving, positive energy within us, then we must learn to see others in a more loving way and with spiritual eyes instead of physical eyes, so that we may be able to see more clearly the inner beauty of that soul.
We are all children of God! All of us are here on this earth to learn, grow and develop. We’re here to gain experiences and to learn from the good and the bad…If we overcome these things correctly and with enough humility to change, these experiences can make us stronger and allow us to be able to return to live with God in His glory when He decides that it’s our time to leave this earth. It’s part of life, that we all make mistakes and have our different struggles to overcome. We are all trying to do our best according to what we know…And in some cases we may meet souls who are struggling with different situations or problems that may be deeper than ours. These are the times when our hearts need to be turned to others who may be in a more difficult situation than us and reach out to help them and to be a light for them during their times of need. We can help them to know where our strength comes from and to show them that God is the only one capable of providing the peace that every soul desires and needs.?
 As children of God, we are all spiritual brothers and sisters. We’re placed on this earth at this precise time in history to help each other, instead of judging or criticizing one another. We have to remember that we are a team! our goal is return to live with God after we grow from the experiences of this life…As a the team of children of God that we are, we need to encourage each other, to help one another to be positive and to reach for our highest good. So that we may be able to strive for our very best and to be able to return to God someday making Him proud of what we did for ourselves and for others during our time here. Our goal is to treat other with love, that they may see the light of God in our lives that we may treat them as we would want to be treated. And that we may see them with spiritual eyes and with the PURE love of God in our lives. ?

If we say that we love God, then we must love ALL of HIS creations!…That includes all of our brothers and sisters on his earth…If we don’t, then how can we say that we really love GOD?
James 4: 10-12 says: 
 

10. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
11. Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

12. There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
 
Wow! This scripture is amazing at teaching us that we are not the ones to Judge! If we judge, then we are actually breaking the law of GOD! James 4: 17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. All judgements must be left up to God who is the ultimate Judge….Of us, it is required to forgive all men! to let things go and to treat others as we ourselves would want to be treated. Everything else will be done in God’s wisdom, in His own judgement and timing. We must let go and let love come into our souls to see the good in the souls of others and to choose to have positive, peaceful thoughtts in our hearts…In the end, we are the ones who choose.
 
When I was thinking about how we can stop judging, I thought about the 4 things that can help us to heal.
#1 Is to Pray: God wants us to free our hearts from carrying those emotions with us. He wants to help us heal and if our desire and our faith in His power are real, then He will help us to heal and even turn our weaknesses into strengths.
#2 Is to use our eyes to see the Good in people!: ? Mathew 6: 22-23 says, The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!…We must see with our eyes all of the good in others so that inside us we may be full of light!!! Let’s use our eyes to see passed the physical and to see the pure soul that is inside each one of us. The person that God sees and the potential that He sees in all of us.
#3 is to bridle our tongues: ?and to control what comes out of our mouths. When we see the good in others, then our words will become positive. we can speak good of others instead of evil… and focus on using our tongues to uplift and to edify!!! 🙂
& #4 Take care of what is in our heart:? Our heart is the place where we will either hold on to things or let go! when we let go our heart feel light and peaceful! Everything depends on what we CHOOSE to keep or let go off but when we see the good in others we will begin to experiment a change in our hearts
James 3: 14-18 Says:
14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

 
Let’s choose to allow our hearts to be full of peace, gentleness, mercy, and everything that comes from God and that is good for us! allowing the evil to leave our hearts and to not let the negativity slow or stop our progress. I know that if we use our eyes to see the good in others and our tongues to speak words that are kind, uplifting and peaceful then our heart will be fully changed and fully able to see with love how important it is to see the beauty of the inner souls of those around us. Once we choose to work on changing one of these, the rest will follow until we are full of the light of God inside us.? I hope that we can let this message touch our hearts deeply to have a strong desire to go past the judgements…To purify ourselves with God’s help and be filled with His love for others! To be able to reach with excitement a new height on our journey to reaching the potential that we have as sons and daughters of God 🙂 
 
I’m so thankful for all the messages that some of you send me! I’m thankful for your experiences and you don’t know how much I learn form you too and what an example you all are to me…Even if we don’t talk often, I want you to know that I’m thankful to have met each and every one of you. You’re all such an amazing example to me.Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey. We’re all a team! And we’re ready to support and help each other. 
 
Our goal for the week is to See the beauty of each soul! to treat others as we would want to be treated. To check our eyes for what we’re seeing in others, our tongues for what we’re speaking and our hearts for what we have inside. To make it positive, peaceful, good and full of light. I know our hearts will feel lighter and pretty awesome! 🙂
 
Our physical goal for the week is exercise at least 2 days this week. thats the minimum 🙂 if you can do more that would be great! go for a walk or do something that feels good and it’s therapeutic. We’re also gonna focus on eating a few more veggies this week they’re so full of nutrition and goodness for our bodies! 🙂 Hope to see you tonight at 7:15! Class will have cardio, toning and meditation to leave us feeling renewed and amazing! I hope you can make it! and invite others to come benefit as well! It feels so good! Hope you can make it and not let things get in the way of doing something that is so good for yourself.??

Be Humble

It is beautiful when we can see in ourselves a need to change and to have more humility in our lives. When we can truly and fully admit to ourselves that we must let go of things that are making us proud and slowing our progress.
God knows that it’s part of our schooling on this earth to make mistakes, to see our faults, to learn from our experiences and to be taught from the good and the bad that we go through. The important thing is that we actually DO the work that is required for us to change.
When we are humble, we are more teachable, we have a stronger desire to better ourselves, to care more about others than ourselves, to stop judging and to realize that God is the only one who knows what is truly in the hearts of those around us. When we are TRULY humble, we are willing to submit ourselves to God’s will and to change our opinions to agree with God’s opinion. How often do we do that? Are we really willing to change our opinions to agree with God???…The one who actually knows EVERYTHING! And who is full of wisdom, knowledge and all goodness?….Or, are we letting the world and their opinions get into our hearts and minds making us less willing to change our will to agree God’s?…or are we more worried about people’s judgments and what they will think, rather than be worried about God’s judgements?…That’s when we decide how humble or willing we are to make those true changes in our lives.
We know that the opposite of humility is pride and the proud always wish that God would agree with them. C. S Lewis wrote, “Pride gets no pleasure out of having something, only out of having more of it than the next man.” Ezra Taft Benson also taught, The proud make every man their adversary by pitting their intellects, opinions, works, wealth, talents, or any other worldly measuring device against others….It is the comparison that makes you proud: the pleasure of being above the rest. Once the element of competition has gone, pride has gone.”
If our desire is to truly get rid of pride and to be more humble, then we must be willing to put it the effort to change. God will never leave us trying without helping us…On the contrary, when He can see that in our hearts we have the desire to change, He will help us and strengthen us to get through the difficulties and still gain valuable lessons for our lives. We must pray for help and forgiveness during our moments of pride. We can also  ask God to cleanse our hearts from all that is negative and to help us be more willing to give of ourselves more deeply in humility to His will.
Neal A. Maxwell said;

“The defining characteristic of humility is the submission of our will to God’s will. “The submission of one’s will is really the only uniquely personal thing we have to place on God’s altar, “The many other things we ‘give’ .… are actually the things He has already given or loaned to us. However, when you and I finally submit ourselves, by letting our individual wills be swallowed up in God’s will, then we are really giving something to Him! It is the only possession which is truly ours to give!” ? Humility is not a sign of weakness, it is just the opposite. It shows that we know our strength comes from God.

Matthew 18:1, 4 says; Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”…“Whosoever … shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven” In this scripture we can see that greatness does not only come because of strength and power; true greatness requires humility.
I hope that we can all keep this message in our hearts and have a strong desire to give our wills to God”s and to be more humble, more loving, more caring and forgiving.
Humility is an amazing Godly quality that is already exists in us as children of God! We just have to continue to peel off those layers of pride and continue working on reaching deeper levels of humility. By doing so, we will be better able to remain attached to God for help during those difficult times in our lives when we have to say..”Thy will be done.” <3
I would like to share this wonderful song that a beautiful and inspired friend of mine sent me!…I hope you all know how thankful I am to have each and every one of you in my life! Our Thoughts

What kind of messages are we allowing to enter into our minds? Are they positive? Are they negative? Are they uplifting and inspiring? Are they thoughts that help us move closer to our goals or the desires that God wants for our lives? Our thoughts will determine what our future will bring.
Most of the time we don’t ask ourselves these questions, we just continue on day to day letting the thoughts run through our minds in all kinds of directions without paying much attention to the influences and the energies that our thoughts can carry. We don’t really think about the effects that they can have on our emotions, choices and habits. When we are not conscious about filtering what we should be thinking, reading, listening to and watching, we can become easily influenced and tossed by the waves and storms of our minds. We need to be able to take control of our minds of what we will allow ourselves to think about and also to be able to control what will delete fully from our mind [crt, alt delete]  and let go off completely!…ultimately, WE CHOOSE FOR OURSELVES!!!
Mahatma Ghandi said;
I will not let anyone walk through my mind with their dirty feet. 
We must do the same for our minds, we shouldn’t allow our own negativity or the negativity of others to enter our minds and walk through it with their dirty feet!…The dirt of gossiping, bitterness, jealousy, competition, resentment, or the seemingly unimportant “dirt” that can be presented in TV, media, movies, internet, music, and those things that surround us constantly and that try to take over our mind, to steal our precious time and to distract us by filling our minds with things that are filthy, unnecessary and that take us away from the type of person that we should be striving to become. Instead we should replace those activities or thoughts with uplifting messages that will carry us higher and higher in our daily lives. Which will allow us to come to our goals, closer to God, closer to the person that we desire to be and that God would be proud of having as one of His sons or daughters on this earth… He is our example and we try to be like Him! We strive to keep our minds clean as HE would, to take care of what we allow to enter into our thoughts and minds and to be able to have positive uplifting thoughts and to be able to repel completely all that is negative, damaging, or hurtful to our minds, bodies and spirits.
I heard a beautiful saying that says, TIME AND THOUGHTS, USE IT IN THE RIGHT WAY AND YOU WILL FLY!!! ??
What that means to me, is that we stop wasting time on thoughts that make us heavy and don’t help  us to fly! Those heavy thoughts are what I mentioned above, ( bitterness, jealousy, comparison, competition, disappointments, anger etc) anything negative towards another person is a heavy thought!! We must let go of the negative feelings towards others and also any negative things that we may be saying about ourselves as well…By letting go if these things in our lives for our own good, we will begin to trust God more deeply and trust in His infinite wisdom to take care of EVERYTHING in our lives that may not feel right to “us”…And instead we will trust Him enough to leave it all in His hands. To make a promise to God, that from now on we will focus on all of the GOOD  that is around us and allow that to enter our minds and let go of the negative. Only after doing, this is when we will be able to fly!!! Some say that angels can fly because they take themselves so lightly ? The truth is that within us we all that power to become like angels! Only when we keep ourselves light will we be able to take care of others and to be an actual angel in the lives of many!!! 🙂 We can let go of so much heaviness and become angels here on earth for those who need us! God has a plan for all of us, it is no accident that we are here at this time and it is no accident that we are learning about this together right now, these words are to help us all to push ourselves to do better than yesterday, to do our very best one day at a time with our choices and what we allow in out minds and to be able to be a light for our own selves and for other around us. ?
I know that God loves us! We really are beautifully created out of divinity…Sons and daughters of God!!! He wants to see us to be happy! He worries about our difficulties and hard times…But He also knows that we can overcome them and wants us to get through our difficult times and afflictions with HIS help. <3 He wants us to know that we can take control of our lives and stop wasting time on unnecessary, negative, yucky or heavy thoughts or things that don’t allow us to continue forward and to progress!!!.Instead He wants us to fill our minds, hearts and souls with goodness!!! All the good that is around us, to fill ourselves with peace towards ourselves and others and to have clarity to choose to be lighter in what we carry within us. To carry only what is good, healing, positive and peaceful and be able to be that light or an angel in the lives of those whom God will bring into our lives. There is no limit to our potential! And we can do all things with God on our side. <3 🙂 Lets do this!!! ??
I would love to leave this message in our hearts by sharing one last scripture,
Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are TRUE, 

whatsoever things are HONEST, 
whatsoever things are JUST, 
whatsoever things are PURE, 
whatsoever things are LOVELY,
whatsoever things are of GOOD REPORT,
if there be any VIRTUE, 
and if there be any PRAISE,
WE THINK ON THESE THINGS. 

Our spiritual goal for the week is: To keep our thoughts clean, good, positive and light, we have the power to let go of things, to fill our minds and spirits with goodness and to find the joy and happiness that comes from that. The goal is to  wake up each morning and before looking at social media at the news or anything…the goal is to spend a few minutes reading something uplifting! before allowing any other thoughts to enter our minds we will begin our mornings with something positive and try to see what a difference it makes in the way that we feel! ??
Our physical goal for the week is: To do some kind of physical activity that will help us to relieve stress, anxiety etc…This can be a walk, swimming, weight lifting, or anything that will be good for our bodies as well as our minds. at least 3 times this week would be ideal! 🙂
Tonight we will be able to do that! to get rid of stress! have an awesome workout, burn some calories, tone and end with a wonderful relaxing meditation. It’s gonna feel so great! can’t wait to see whoever is meant to be there tonight! 🙂 <3….If you remember to bring your light weights, that would be great too 🙂 Have a blessed and wonderful day and rest of the week and hopefully we can all do an amazing Job at keeping our minds light. positive and full of goodness to be able to use our time wisely and be abel to fly this week and become an angel to our friends and family around us. ?

Put our Trust in Him

We all experience clouds and storms in our lives that can cleanse our souls, refine our spirits, teach us humility and allow us to fully put our trust in our God who gives us life.These difficulties and challenges that come to all of us in different ways…can knock us down, sink our spirits, make us feel sad, discouraged and in some cases depressed and fearful.
It’s during these difficulties that we must fight hard to not allow those  negative feelings to enter our hearts. For example, when we deal with physical pains and struggles it’s easy for us to let our spirits be affected too. 🙁 We may worry about what could be happening to our bodies, the pain in some cases may be difficult to overcome, we may become fearful, stressed and loose our patience. When we struggle physically, we should remind ourselves that we are a physical body but also a spiritual being!!! When our physical body is going though a lot…our spiritual being has to take over and carry us though the difficulties!!!☀This is the time in which we need to strengthen our spirit to help us get though the difficult health challenges of our lives. The way to do this is to fill our souls with uplifting, beautiful spiritual messages that strengthen our faith in God and allow us to feel His light and His strength that can even make our physical bodies feel better one day at a time.?
When we deal with emotional or spiritual challenges the same medicine is required. We may not have a desire to pray because of the circumstance etc…but this is when we need to pray the most! We may be struggling with our feelings towards people who have hurt us, insulted us etc…but this is when that prayer can strengthen us and make us better at forgiving, letting go of the pain that we are causing ourselves and leaving the judgments up to God, and instead sending good, loving, positive energy to those who have “hurt” us or “mistreated us” etc..We may also struggle with feelings of fear, or anxiety when we are going through challenges. And this is the perfect time to stop and help ourselves to remember that the one who enjoys bringing fear into our souls is Satan! He is very real and his desire is to destroy our spirits and to knock us down and away form God. He uses fear and anxiety as one of his tools to make us unhappy, to deplete our energy and specially because he knows that we loose strength when we have fear!…We can’t let his fear creep into our hearts and weaken us! We have this promise from God.
 
Deuteronomy 31:6 & 8
6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
 
8 And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. <3
As descendants of God we have the power to push the negative feelings aside! To say to the fear, the anxiety, the anger etc: Get away from me! I am a child of God and as such, I live by faith and not by fear! God’s divine light is my life to help me overcome and get through this. We must seek to dispel fear from ourselves and all people and to remind ourselves and others of who we are! that we are the beloved children of God! ?Think about it, He already knows everything!!! even the beginning form the end!…yet, HE takes time to listen to us! to all of our prayers and still answers our prayers constantly!…He is incredibly loving and merciful to us! ?
He doesn’t ever leave us and it’s during the most difficult times in our lives that I believe that He is closer to us than ever! He wants us to overcome our challenges with His help, His strength and his light…He wants us to have faith in Him! To be happy! To be grateful even during the difficult times because we  trust in Him and in the  cleansing and ultimate growth from our challenges. We can be full of gratitude for all that we have. And I know with all my heart that He wants us to be optimistic! Hopeful and Positive! to have courage to stand for all that is good, to rejoice and be of good cheer even when the clouds may be around us, and to constantly have an attitude of gratitude no matter what circumstances we may be in. I don’t want to be the type of person that only talks to God when life is good or when I really really need him… But instead I want to be grateful no matter what! I know the choice is mine. And ultimately we each have to choose what we want to feel in our hearts…what we want to hold on to, and what we want to let go of…He loves us so much that He gives us that freedom to choose for ourselves.
I know that if we focus on the good of each day, on our blessings, on remembering to keep God close to us by reading His word and praying daily, we will feel so much better during the difficult times. This is the medicine and the healing that we all need!!! <3 Which allows us to be better able to let go of our worries, to TRUST MORE! to give service to others, and to be able to remember to take it slowly, ONE day at a time. I know that if we do this, We will be able to enjoy more happiness to be grateful for the little things, and to keep trying!!!?God loves us! We are His children, his sons and daughters! He will make all things work out for our good and our benefit….We know that, because we know He loves us! so, trust Him! be grateful, joyful and happy today and every day no matter what. 🙂 the choice is ours! ?
Our spiritual goal for the week is to: Focus on being happy and grateful no matter what circumstances we may be in….We can overcome EVERYTHING with the help of God and there’s nothing impossible to him. Let go of the worries of your mind…Choose to put your FULL trust in Him this week and see the amazing things that God will bring into your life.
Our physical goal for the week is: To be wise about what we eat this week, the more natural and nutritious the better! We can eat a lot more when we have healthier meals, and healthy snacks…try to eat a little bit better this week and feel great! 🙂
Also, class is on tonight!!! & I’m so excited cause most of you guys know how therapeutic it is for our minds, body and spirit! <3 Can’t wait to do something great for ourselves! 🙂 I want us to work a little bit more on toning! This will help us to burn more calories, strengthen not only our muscles but our bones! And to help us feel great as well! 🙂 So, if you can bring a light set of weights that would be awesome!!! That way we can all get started and keep it going from there. 😉 Remember that we are all In this journey together and that we’re here to support and help each other but most importantly, it’s to motivate ourselves individually to do good things for our body, mind and spirit! Take care of yourself and this body and spirit that God has given us! <3 I love you all and I hope to see you tonight.

Patience

As part of life, we are all meant to go through tough times and difficulties. Some cases may be worse than others but at one point or another these challenges or situations will test our limits and our patience greatly. These are the times that we need to be prepared to know how to handle and overcome the challenges that may come into our lives.
Our world teaches us little patience, we are constantly surrounded by “quick deliveries” “no waiting time” and “fast food” we have become used to not practicing the attribute of patience in our lives. Sadly, when bigger challenges come into our lives and we are forced to practice patience, (because we realize that have no other choice) We see how much harder it is to get through it!….when we haven’t practiced patience in the little things, then how can we expect to be able to get through those big tests of patience in our lives? ….We have to constantly exercise our muscle of patience in the little things of four daily life ex: Traffic, having to wait in line, or listening to the child that can’t stop crying, etc…Once we begin to practice patience in the little things we will be better able to overcome the bigger challenges and difficulties of our lives, such as an illness, the loss of a loved one or anything else that may be even more difficult to go through and to have to overcome. <3
During these challenges and difficulties the most important thing to remember is that we are not alone!!! To believe that we are alone is exactly what Satan or the adversary wants us to think, so that he can draw us even further away from coming closer to God and so that he can make us miserable like himself…It’s during these times that we must hold on and not let go of God, of our faith and of the knowledge that we have in Him and in his incredible power to help us during our challenges. We can wait PATIENTLY….not waiting on “my” timing but on HIS timing, on the timing of the one who knows it ALL and who loves us fully and completely! We are not meant to go through life alone but instead we are meant to have God by our side and to TRUST in His love and power to help us get through ANYTHING!!! ?
 
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
 
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. ☀ (Isaiah 55:8-9)
 
Patience refines us and helps us become more like the Savior, It allows us to manifest our inner strength and devotion to God. To turn our will over to Him and to let God take over in confidence as we watch His unfolding purposes happen for our lives. We can’t let things discourage us! or bring us down, things aren’t always about us and our timing…We have to learn to let things go sometimes and be patient in God’s timing and believe that things will get better and that they will happen for our goo, for our benefit and to strengthen us spiritually as well. Something else that can help us during our difficulties, is to go do some good for someone else! to go visit the hungry, the needy, to give to those who have less than us and to forget about ourselves and focus our attention on those who may have a worse situation than us. There are so many that we can help! so many that need us and so many that just need a listening ear and words of encouragement during their difficulties as well. ?

And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God. (Mosiah 2:17)

Another thought that I had while I was thinking about Patience, is that I know that we tend to ask for a lot when we’re going through things….We pray and pray for the things that we want or need asking God constantly for this and that in our lives and in some cases we realize that our prayers become repetitive and as part of our routine etc.The other night, my daughter was sick and I noticed this in myself.  I realized, wow! I feel like i’m constantly asking and asking for things in my life….But do I ever think about asking God what HE NEEDS???? what he needs from ME? what He wants ME to do for Him? How I can help Him? and in which way I can show Him how thankful I am for all of my blessings? I realized that night that I should ask Him that way more often! to show my gratitude and to ask Him what it is that He would want me to do for Him! and to actually go and do it! <3 I also thought about how about how incredibly patient God is with us constantly!!! giving us more and more chances, waiting lovingly and patiently for us to reach out to Him, to make the right choices, and still, even when we don’t make the right choices He is still there! PATIENT, loving, caring, allowing us to have one more day! one more chance to do better. ?
We are capable of becoming that patient with His help. What an amazing heavenly attribute! 🙂 God wants us to experience what it is like to have patience, to continue to grow slowly in it, to exercise it in the little things as well as the big things, to have patience to trust in the will of God for our lives and allow Him to take over while we continue to CHOOSE to be joyful no matter what <3 (We know that joy is our choice!!! and it is created inside us! it doesn’t depend on the external…We choose to stay positive during the difficulties and to continue working towards the goals that we have set for ourselves. Finally, we can remember to ask God what “I” can do for Him this day instead ? To give service to those who need it and to forget about “myself”. I know that when we do these things our patience will be strengthened, our problems will seem smaller and God will lovingly take care of us to allow us to get through anything that we may encounter in our lives.
I love you all and I’m so thankful that you take a little bit of time to read these messages…I pray every week that they may stay in our hearts and help us all to progress towards becoming better sons and daughters of God. I’m thankful that God is slowly teaching me the little lessons that I need to work on and to learn from and I’m thankful that He does that for all of us because he loves us…It’s amazing what He can do for us when we put our trust in Him.
Our Spiritual Goal for the week: Is to be PATIENT. <3 I know it’s hard to be patient in everything right now, but if we really want it we can do it and for this week it would be good to practice patience in the little things….taking deep breaths and remembering the bigger and more important things in our lives 🙂 Let’s see how we do this week!
Our physical goal for the week: Is to let go of sugary drinks. The key is to replace those with water and to stay physically active at least 3 days during this week! 🙂 Let’s these little changes that will be so good for our health. <3
See you tonight in Class for an amazing workout and meditation session. 🙂 We get together to get rid of stress, have a good time, exercise and relax. Our spirits and our bodies will be strengthened together and theres nothing better than that feeling! ?? The hardest thing is always showing up!  So, hope you can can make it and feel amazing afterwards!!!?

Trust Him

So often in our lives we feel as if we’re almost always right about things or situations…These are experiences that we can only see through our own lenses and our own perspective, but which can regularly lead us to believe that we are the ones who actually know what is best and that things, people or situations should react according to my will or what  “I” want them to do etc…Unfortunately, trying to control so much of our lives can actually harm us by bringing about more stress, anxiety, or frustration when things don’t go according to what we planed or desired. When we do this, we are basically leaning on our own understanding and just living life according to what we can do for ourselves and to according to what we expect. I think that most of us have experienced what it’s like to travel “blindly” in life, basically just trusting ourselves, our knowledge or skills and expecting things to just go our way…But, at some point or another many of us have also experienced the difference of what it’s like to NOT just lean on our own worldly or one dimensional understanding and instead be able to completely let go and to leave those problems or situations in the hands of God.
A friend of mine who has been battling cancer told me that before having to go through this difficult time in her life, everything was about doing things her way, for her own desires or interests and not really even thinking about God or anything like that. She was basically just kinda living her life and enjoying all the material, the social and the other things that surrounded her. Once she was diagnosed, things began to change and this difficult time in her life made her re-evaluate everything! She soon realized that she had been living so differently from the way that she would have wanted to…And here she was experiencing the most difficult challenge in her life, when she realized that at this point she really didn’t have control of anything at all. She then began to stop relying on herself and Instead she felt a strong desire to bring herself closer to God, to come to know Him better! to apologize to Him for forgetting about Him all of those previous years and she eventually reach a point in which she was willing to believe! to let go and to trust in God’s power enough to lean on Him completely, and on His power to heal her and to make her better…Her trust became so great that she was even willing to accept death if that was the will of God for her life. <3 wow! thats incredible! isn’t it? That’s the trust that healed her and has caused her cancer to be on remission and to now enjoy time with her family, having her priorities in life straight, continuing to bring herself closer to God as she travels the path of her life knowing that she trusts Him fully and leans upon him and His wisdom completely!?
To lean on Him and trust in the Lord with all our hearts, means that we have no fear, but instead we only have FAITH. It means that we will try to solve our problems by praying, searching and finding His guidance to overcome them. It means that we will trust Him with all our hearts, being strong enough to know how to keep our hearts clean and pure from anything evil, from any unclean things, thoughts, words or actions that could be harmful to ourselves or others. As I was thinking about what kind of heart I would want to have I realized after praying one day that God really does want us to have a pure heart. <3 A heart that has gotten fully rid of anything bad or negative and that instead glows from the  joy and peace of knowing in whom we trust. I also realized that I can’t worry about my neighbors heart or whatever feelings they may have inside it towards me or others 🙁 I can only worry about what’s in my own heart ? and once I do that I will be better able to love others more fully. I am learning that I am in charge of keeping my heart protected from the evil or the negative,I am in charge of the feelings that abound in my heart, I am in charge of seeing the good in others and their potential or love that God has for them regardless of what they do to me etc…And because I know that the merciful obtain mercy and I want a heart that is full of forgiveness, of mercy and of love for God, for myself and for all! learning one day at a time to live the way that God would want me to live and in the way in which He would be proud of me, of what I do, of what I think and of what I keep in my heart.
He gives us greater power than we could ever receive from ourselves! He can guide us, cleanse us and help us in ways that can sometimes seem indescribable to our natural eyes. The key is to trust Him enough to know that even when things don’t go according to “my will” I am willing to accept what He wants for me, in His greater knowledge and wisdom and be happy of knowing that although they may not go my way they’ll be going the BEST WAY POSSIBLE WHICH IS HIS WAY!!! and according to His will! Which will always lead to my happiness that will be greater than anything that this world could offer.

 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. ( Proverbs 3: 5-6)

Our spiritual goal for the week is to trust God more! to let go completely and remind yourself that you do believe in Him! the goal is also to give Him our hearts by keeping them clean from all that is evil or negative and instead filling our hearts with good positive words, thoughts and actions that will bring us closer to God. 

Our Physical goal for the week is to slow down on the carbs and to do something great for our physical body and to exercise to take care of ourselves, have more energy and feel great! 🙂

I hope to be able to see you in class tonight! we will have a little bit more room because we will be in the Gym so you can bring friends and family whom you would like to benefit from the class. Last week we had a wonderful meditation session which helped us to focus on the truly important things <3 It felt wonderful and I always wish everyone could be there to experience how good it feels. I’m here for you always! and don’t forget to take it one day at a time. You do your best today and see how great you’ll feel! ? you’ll love it! ?

Slow Down Your Stress

Feeling stressed is something that we all experience at some point or another. For some it may be more often or more severe than others and it’s effects can range from low to high even to the point in which it can cause illness in our bodies. It’s important for us to learn what stress can do to our lives and how it can affect us and impact our relationships or our inner peace with ourselves. When the situations come into our lives we always have a choice! we can always choose how to react. Do we get angry, frustrated, bitter, sad, etc? All of these emotions that tend to come from stress are negative, therefore we need to learn how to manage them and become the masters of them! before they become the masters of us!…WE ARE IN CONTROL✴
When we realize how stress presents itself in our bodies and how we are currently reacting to it… We can practice and be prepared to know how to take control of ourselves when the situation arises or even if something more difficult was to happen. We all know that when we let stress or those negative emotions win in ourselves it never feels good 🙁 its as if we loose control of ourselves and all it brings its even more negativity into our lives. But when we can master ourselves and at least take control of our emotions even if we can’t control what the “stressor” is, we can control our emotions and our reaction to the situation. When we react in the most positive way for ourselves and those around us, we can defeat what “stress” used to cause in us and instead turn it into a strengthening situation for us, that can build us as a person, purify us and allow us to receive positive consequences from our situations. It will take control and practice but we are completely capable of doing it.
Here are a few ways that can help us to react to our situations better and to have more control! 🙂
Be realistic Being realistic about what we expect of ourselves and others is the best defense against stress. We have to be real with ourselves and those around us. Open, honest and realistic communication and expectations will support growth but keep stress in check.
Keep fit- Spiritually and physically Physical bodies require rest, exercise and a good diet. We can also keep our souls healthy through daily prayer and scripture study.

Set priorities and goals De-stress by prioritizing what the most important things are that need to get done. Planning will give us direction and lead to accomplishments.

Change your pace Take a break to do something you enjoy (including nothing) in stressful situations this can help ease the pressure. Try serving someone else to put your own problems into perspective.

Share your struggles Surrounding ourselves with supportive people who we can confide in. or writing about our day and what we learned from it can also be therapeutic. 
Be grateful and Happy
we can choose to be happy! Happiness that doesn’t depend on ANYTHING EXTERNAL but instead happiness that comes from WITHIN!!! I know that sounds strange because we have been taught that happiness comes from having material things, ex; if I have a better car, then i’ll be happy or a bigger house, or those shoes…etc or we have also heard that you need to have the best career, a great body, be successful, have knowledge etc…But those things don’t bring true happiness, they may add comfort to our lives but being truly happy is what comes from inside us.
Some of the countries with the most poverty have the happiest people!..yet, we have so much and so many times we complain that we need more to be happy. Being happy is something that can be felt no matter the circumstances because it comes from inside, it is not determined or measured by what we have or what we don’t have. It is simply there because we CHOOSE to be happy in our situations. It comes from a deep trust and a faith in God that He loves us deeply enough to help us get through anything! allowing our “stressful” situations to build us and edify us in the way that God wants us to be strengthened. True happiness comes from knowing that we are at peace with God and that there is no need for anything external to affect or determine our joy, because our joy comes from the peace of God, and of knowing that when we react to life in this way of joy and gratitude, He will provide for us in amazing ways and give us much more than  what the world sees as ‘happiness”. We can be grateful and happy in our circumstances and receive the true joy that comes from inside us and doest depend on our external circumstances.
Our Spiritual goal for the week is to slow down our stress, to choose to master ourselves and how we will react to our situations. <3 God will provide us with peace and the inner joy to be able to have unlimited happiness and finding the joy no matter what ?
Our physical goal is to exercise and do things that will help us release stress! we can workout, meditate or have some alone quiet time to relax.
Tonight we will focus on stress relief! we will work hard and kick that stress out!!! We will also take some time to meditate and relax our bodies and our minds to feel centered, energized, happy and thankful to have so many blessings! <3….Life is good and all things will work out for our benefit when we think positively of our situations and GROW from the difficult times. We have the power to choose joy and peace in our situations. Lets do that and enjoy the true joy that comes fro within and its not based on anything external <3

God’s Love

The world is constantly trying to tell us that we need to be skinnier, prettier, “basically look like a Barbie”, be popular, have more possessions, money, etc…all of this pressure that makes us think that this is the only way to achieve happiness, self esteem or to be “complete in life” but, in reality this is all a huge lie! And it’s so sad that it’s so pushed on us from every direction! from music, tv, media, society etc…that we are bombarded by these images or people that can affect us and make us feel less of ourselves. 🙁
Many studies have been done in which people reach a certain level of ” great achievement” in the eyes of the world and even once they reach that level of popularity, looks, money etc…they still feel like they are lacking or missing something! Even after searching and gaining more and more, they still were not satisfied and realized that they were always lacking something. All of the years searching for more of what was in the external took their focus away from their internal self and they forgot about their self love, their inner peace, their self esteem, their being inside, and in most cases some completely forgetting about God. They described themselves as having a lot but still missing something inside and a level of unhappiness.
No matter how much we get from the external it can never truly change what is deep inside of us.That healing can only from us being honest with ourselves and asking God to help us. Specially in this world where our self esteem is constantly being attacked (specially for us as woman) we must be strong enough to remind ourselves constantly in the daily battles that we face and will continue to face for as many days as God wants us to be here on this earth that we are to stand strong for who we are. We must reming ourselves that we are children of God His sons and daughters! Psalms 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. How beautiful is that??? Why do we let the world tell us lies about our potential or our beauty? if we are beautiful to the most amazing being in the universe who created us! then why should we worry about the standards that others have for beauty? I read something that said “instead of trying to be what the world wants you to be, try living your life by the standards the Lord has set. HIS WAYS NEVER CHANGE AND YOU WILL NEVER BE UNPOPULAR TO HIM!!! ???
 
So, whenever we face moments of insecurity or feeling low about ourselves lets be strong enough to confront it and change it!!! to not depend on anyone else for our happiness but to do it for ourselves! and to base upon what God thinks about us!? on how incredibly much He loves each and every one of us. Let’s focus on letting go of the dust or the dirt that gets in the way of our minds and instead clean it out of our lives by asking God to forgive us for thinking negatively of ourselves and to instead help us focus on the beauty that He sees in us and in others! to be able to be thankful for the fact that our bodies are working and that they are our God given temples for our soul to be here on this earth. That we may be able to take care of ourselves the best way we can and to love ourselves for the person that God has made us to be today! ?
 
Once we are able to see ourselves in Gods way and to love and respect ourselves enough that we no longer need compliments from the world around us because God alone makes us truly fulfilled and happy?…Then we will be able to go and share our love with others!!! taking the focus off of ourselves and being able to serve, and give to our spiritual brothers and sisters on this earth 
Mathew 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
 
I hope that we are all able to feel God’s love in our lives more fully and more completely! to be able to feel it to the point that all of those layers of insecurity or self doubt can be fully removed to allow us to be more centered on God’s true love for us! to respect ourselves and love ourselves enough to be able to give more fully to all of those around us, or to the entire world that they may be able to feel God’s love in their lives because of us. i know that God is able to provide us with this strength and as the daughters of God we will be able to receive if we truly search for it and fully believe in what He is able to do for us. ?
Our Spiritual goal for the week is to let go of the negative thoughts of self image, self esteem, or self doubt, that the world is constantly trying to throw at us! and instead, putting a STOP to those thoughts, changing them for something positive and pushing them away with the power of prayer if we need to. Asking God to help us to see ourselves as He sees us!!! To help us be more thankful for all that we have and to forget about ourselves a little more and instead give service to someone who needs it!!…I know that the more that we work on improving this, we will be able to overcome the ridiculous standards that the world has surrounding us and we will be better able to stand strong and courageous for the love that God had for us and for what he would want us to do each day of our lives. This Joy and peace that comes from the power that God can provide is way better than anything material or external that we could possibly achieve on this earth.?
Our physical goal for this week is to drink more water and stay active! the goal is to replace one of our sugary drinks for water we can add lemon, or strawberries but the goal is nothing sugary or at least to cut back and have at least 3 glasses of water in one day 😉 and to continue to stay active and so something physical at least 2 days this week! those are good goals for ourselves this week! We can do this! 🙂

Seek His Light

Our world seems to be filled with more and more darkness and evil than before…Even society, trends, social media, and many other things are sadly turning us and our world into a world that is filled with more and more selfishness, self centeredness and constantly seeking for praise or for some kind of power. In some cases, we can recognize that we are being blinded by so many distractions that we often forget about the things that really matter most in our lives. All of these things can cause us to even forget about God or what He can do for us in our lives.
There is a power that is so amazing and real that we often forget that we have access to it. This is the power that can change our days, help us focus on the things that are truly important, The power that can change our hearts and in many many cases cause wonderful blessings to come into our lives. This is the power of prayer! <3 The power that God has allowed us to have to be able to communicate with HIM! There is no need to connect to anything, no busy signals, and it can be done anywhere and at any time. We are able to be to talk to the wisest being in the entire universe!!! OUR FATHER who loves us and who has given us full access to speak to Him!!! How amazing is that? 🙂 He can provide peace, guidance, knowledge, erase pain and give strength if we only believe and really trust in His power to do so. ?
Here’s a scripture that I would like to share;
...For if ye would hearken unto the Spirit which teacheth a man to pray, ye would know that ye must pray; for the evil spirit teacheth not a man to pray, but teacheth him that he must not pray. 
 

 But behold, I say unto you that ye must pray always, and not faint; that ye must not perform any thing unto the Lord save in the first place ye shall pray unto the Father in the name of Christ, that he will consecrate thy performance unto thee, that thy performance may be for the welfare of thy soul. (2 Nephi 32: 8-9)

We have to remeber that when we least feel like praying is when we need to pray the most. God will bless us for doing so and we will be filled with peace. We must also understand that prayer is not just words, but a lot more than that. It requires us to have Faith! do we believe that God can help us? placing our full trust in Him will bring wonderful miracles into our lives.
Mark 21:22 says; And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. 
 
Prayer also requires Reverence, Sincerity, since God already knows what is truly in our hearts. We must also remember that when we ask for something we should be willing to do our part and really work hard towards it. God will open up the path for us when we do our part. 
And the last two things that are essential to have in our prayers; are Loyalty toward God. to be loyal to Him always! no matter what, even until the end and to be willing to actually do what He has put in our hearts to do. <3 and finally, the last virtue we must have is for us to be humble to have humility towards God and also believe that He will be our guide us and will never let us fall.
I have experienced the amazing power of prayer in my life…It has humbled me to change in many ways, and I continue to use it daily to help me change in more ways and to try to better myself daily. It has strengthened me in my times of need and from it I have received incredible blessings in my life that could only happen with the help of God and the Savior Jesus Christ. I want to testify because I know and have clearly felt Him in my life that I know with all my heart that God lives and that He loves us, that He listens and answers our heartfelt prayers and that even when our world seems to be full of darkness around us….God is still present to provide peace and light to the soul who seeks Him. He is our friend and he is the ONLY ONE who can provide the peace that we need in our lives. When we are connected to God we are able to be better neighbors, to be more loving to all men no matter what our differences are, but we are able to love and respect others and give service to those who need it. With Gods help we are able to surround ourselves with Peace and light. but not only that, we will be able to do the same for our homes, our families, our communities and to be a light and bring peace to any who come close to us.
We will be the light of the world in these dark times and with God by our side there’s nothing!….not even the evil power that can get in His way. We can do this because we are children of GOD and children of LIGHT!!!☀?
